2-2-4 Steamer

I wanted this to have the feel of a early railroading era engine. A newly built line's first engine, for example. Maybe 1840's-ish?

I really didn't base it off of anything. Yes, it can go around curves!

I need more pieces to finish. :(

8097 Slave I mod

So a few weeks ago I found one of these Slave I at wallyworld and promptly purchased it. After I assembled it I found to my disappointment I found it was almost impossible to recreate the Cloud City Departure scene from ROTJ. Then I made a few changes...
The biggest change so far is the ramp. It now allows minifigs to stand on it. Also the ship can stand upright.
I took out the flick-fire auto launcher, since it didn't really work and it took up to much interior space.

I redid the hatch so now it opens in a more realistic manner. Unfortunately I haven't found a really good picture of the way its supposed to look.
I thought his silhouette is just awesome!
Here you can see the clip I installed to hold onto cargo
I left the rotation mechanism intact, but changed Boba's seat so now he goes forward in landing mode. This could be fixed by gearing differently.
I do like his flying position better now.

Look and say

A simple look and say sequence is as follows:
1
11
21
1211
111221
311211
13211221
This is read as 1, one 1, two 1, etc. This sequence is interesting because you will never get a 4 unless the starting number is. This is because each line can be divided into a data sequence of the form xN (where x is how many and N is the number described). Now the best way to show there will not be a 4 is to work backwards. So we would have to start with somthing like this:
41
Now to get that we would have to have on the preceding line:
1111
41
and on the previous line:
11
1111
411
which is impossible since that would be one one and one one which is not a legal construction.
Intriguing, huh?

Browsers of old

A lot of people seem to be making a big deal about which browser is the best. I personally think its Firefox, because its stable and its name is way cooler than Explorer. But just to give some perspective about where we have come from, I downloaded Internet Explorer 1 on my xp machine and tried it out.

 It was an EPIC fail.

Google does not even render properly. My university's webpage can't be found. So just remember what we have now is better than what we had just 15 years ago.

p.s. the download link is on wikipedia at the ie1 article.
